Campo De’Fiori

Campo De’Fiori.

Have you been to the “Field of Flowers” ? Campo De’Fiori is an area located in the heart of Rome and it is not to be missed. If you haven’t been and wish to browse, then check out my page where ever you are around the world and have a taste of this incredibly urban area.

a very urban entrance to a furniture boutique

I have enjoyed walking around with my comfortable shoes, camera, and a small notebook, looking at the architecture, finding exquisite shops with colored bicycles around corners and little flower pots next to doors, the sound of different music coming out of each shop, listening to the people and their beautiful Italian language engage in laughter and discussions, reading and writing my favorite street finds, and looking into local designer boutique shops that consist of different character and unique furnishing. Camp De’Fiori makes you feel at home, it makes you feel like you belong, every inch of every street is taken care of with visible love, from colored chairs, to plants on its windows, colored walls, clean streets, the vintage doors and frames that speak history, different street tiling and wall stones. There is a feeling of genuine peace in Campo De’Fiori… take a look 🙂

The End of Israel

That is one post worth reading & makes complete sense…. Israel is against all humanity it is against love justice & Mother Earth. Israel can not survive because it never existed, Israel should find an empty land & not continue their terror & occupation in a land that is filled with people who will never be defeated. Palestine is recognized by millions, even if it has been replaced on the map, in all our hearts it never was, never will & to the Palestinians it shall return. Palestine is a state that welcomes everyone that want to live in peace love justice equality & freedom together & forever under the same laws, including all religions welcomes all nationalities except criminals & violence. A genocide, a slaughter, terror should never be okay in any land. Palestine is a holly land, it has always united all religions & specifically the 3 religions of God, today & since 1948, under the force regime of the Zion’s it has only created terror, lies, lost blood & death to innocent children, woman, and men.

To love; I believe you will win over evil and I can’t wait to witness justice.

Israel soldiers praying to their God in hope for a miracle to happen.

By Gilad Atzmon

In his speech to the nation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged yesterday that the war on Gaza is a battle for the existence of the Jewish State. Netanyahu is correct. And Israel cannot win this battle; it cannot even define what a victory might entail. Surely the battle is not about the tunnels or the militants’ underground operation, the tunnels are just weapons of resistance rather than the resistance itself. The Hamas and Gaza militants lured Israel into a battle zone in which it could never succeed and Hamas set the conditions, chose the ground and has written the terms required to conclude this cycle of violence.

For ten days Netanyahu did all he could to prevent an IDF ground operation. He was facing the reality that Israel lacks a military answer to Palestinian…

What did Palestine look like in 1896?

“We know too well that our #freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the #Palestinians.”
#NelsonMandela

Elia J. Ayoub's avatarHummus For Thought

A film footage of Palestine in 1896 was recently published online thanks to Lobster Films. It shows Palestinians of all faiths – Christians, Jews and Muslims – living side by side, and praying side by side. I transcribed the narration below.

15 years later, the cinema is taking its first steps. Cameramen employed by the Lumiere Brothers filming in Jerusalem’s station, provide the first moving pictures taken in Palestine. From now on, the camera’s a recording eye and what it records is this: A society much like that of Cairo, Damascus, or Beirut, in an Arab city much like any other.

By the end of the 19th century, Palestine has 500,000 inhabitants, of whom 30,000 live in Jerusalem. A veiled woman, a Sunni Muslim, one of the majority. An orthodox Jew. He too turns away from the camera. Here we have an Armenian pope. Each of the Christian denominations…

A Yummy Dish

Mulukhiyah.

Mulukhiya is a truly delicious green leaves used as a vegetable in the Middle-East, they look like mint but taste somewhat like spinach or somewhat nothing like spinach but you know what I mean. Once cooked, Mulukhiyah results looking slimy and greenly and mostly not too appealing.

At SUZIE|S Kitchen which is also common between the Palestinians and Jordanians, Mulukhiah comes either in leaves and we call it rough Mulukhiah Khishineh “خشنه”or comes as a soup and we call it soft Mulukhiah Na’ameh “ناعمة”, it is also cooked with chicken or beef.

Give this recipe a try, you will love it 🙂 – We live once, try new food every day.

Food is one of the topics that unites the world together, we all strive to learn new recipes, new food, new taste, to add a new dish to a table that unites families, friends, neighbors, colleagues, social events, private events, public events and the world. What is better than to share, to love, to help, to feel alive, to care, to feel compassionate for one another.

My dish for today, unites the Middle-Eastern & North African cuisine, and it is a dish that is cooked for the world to try and taste. Today I want to tell you more about this famous Mulukhiyah, pronounced in over 10 different accents, and has few different names that all sound similar: ملوخية Mulukhiyah, Mloukhieh (is how I say it), Molokhia, Molokhieh, Molokheyyah Mloukhya, Moroheiya, Mrenda, Murere, Apoth, Kren-Kre or maybe not too much of a similarity 🙂 in the west you might need to ask for Jew’s Mallow or Jute Mellow or Nalta.

And there are signature pies that are made in specific bakeries or online recipes like: Chocolate & Pumpkin pie, Hot fudge brownie sundae pie, Sweet potato pie, Dark chocolate raspberry pie, Pizza Pie, Millionaire Pie, Tomato pie, Oreo pie and I can keep going on and on.
