My Visit on March 7th – 8th 2014 with the Thai Meditation Center in Jordan.

I recommend camping at Wadi Rum. You can find many camps to stay in. In my case I stayed at the Carvan Camp with the Meditation Center. It is a nice camp, but it is not located in the heart of Wadi Rum so I would defiantly check out another camp in my next visit.

This is how a camp would look like: 
Drinking Tea is Essential and you will have plenty of it. What I find Magical about the desert in Wadi Rum is the color of the sand and how much it varies. It is definitely reddish but also brownish golden beige and a variety of skin colors.    The sand is super soft, walking barefoot is not to be missed.

One of the things to do is going off road. You can take your own 4by4 or ask your camp for the Jeep ride.  Camels are Bedouins best friend. Ride a camel, photograph the camel but most importantly get to know them camel. 

Who said Camels are not romantic? Wadi Rum is all about the hike, mountain climb, trekking. One of the best experiences I have encountered in my life is standing on top of a mountain anywhere around the world.

Bedouins are very friendly. Visit their tents after their approval and welcomings, drink tea with them and listen to their desertful stories. 
Sunset witnessing is always a great experience. Sunset Meditation is a healing experience. This photo is the courtesy of the Thai Meditation Center in Jordan. At night; enjoy the silence, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, the clear skies and star gazing with telescopes & professionals. Wadi Rum is the perfect location to watch the shooting stars and count your wishes.
My favorite part; was waking up during sunrise time.This is a short introduction on what you can do and find at Wadi Rum. Hopefully I will be visiting again soon to do some more mountain hikes.

Wadi Rum is a true Gem.
