The Letter B – حرف ال ب

Sufi mystics say the secret of the Qur’an lies in the verse Al-Fatiha.
And the secret of Al-Fatiha lies in Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

And the quintessence of Bismillah is the letter Ba,

And there is a dot below that letter…

The dot underneath the B embodies the entire universe…

Arriving at Kikuletwa Hot Springs

December 28th 2015

And you think it could not have gotten any better, this place is magic. True meaning of Magic. The water can never be more blue, metallic blue, and the green surrounding it creating shade for you to swim in full peace, a taste of serenity, a lasting drop of zen into your core. I can never forget the feeling I received in like a message from the Divine into my soul. You will for sure doze off, space out into your own world of connection. Love at first sight it is.

My Art, My Piece of Life – Tuesday Doodle

We don’t plan things to be the way they always end up to be. Life is just like an art piece. You never know until you try, and the image you have had in mind could happen to turn out identical or completely different. When its art it’s never restricted, its unpredictable, you need to stay open to receive and you need to be able to mend and blend, redo and replace, you can change the colors of the image, it can take you half a day to put things together or a lifetime. It does not matter. What matters at the end is the result. Some will turn out to satisfy you for mere a second and some will last an impression forever. How will you know? You never will, until you get there, you try, you give yourself the chance to explore, to express, to perceive, to be, to happen. Life is a piece of art, your piece of art, and everyday is a new white canvas that can be separated from the canvas of yesterday or can be a continuation, some canvases will be left somewhere unremembered and some will be framed forever.

Whatever it is. It is yours. Your art piece. Your work of art. Your only work of art. Are you enjoying it while you’re puting it together or are you agonizing your way through. Are you happy with the pieces at the end of your day or are your tears drying up? Look at each piece with love and fill it with laughter, with joy. Be the sailor of your own boat, put a ribbon on your hair and shirt, paint a heart everywhere you go, glitter your eyes with what you love to see, be a friend to those in need of a listening ear, color your diary with your thoughts and feelings, be grateful and count your blessings, sing to your world, and dance on your tip toes, don’t let anything stop you, from trying a new piece of art everyday.

Journal: What it Feels like to be Followed by Mount Kilimanjaro…

December 28th 2015,

I continued celebrating my birthday side by side with Kilimanjaro. We decided to visit the Kikuletwa Hot Springs that were about two hours away from Arusha passing by Moshi and overlooking the highest mountain in Africa.

You would not feel the presence of it, until you see it, it is a Dragon of its own world, huge and just hanging there between the clouds, we gasped as soon as our eyes met it, it was beyond what the normal eye is used to see. And we kept moving and driving for two hours while Kilimanjaro would never run out of sight. Even the clouds would crawl and expand around the mountain, but Kilimanjaro would not go out of sight.

We were lucky, it was a beautiful day, and a beautiful day for Mount Kilimanjaro. We stayed in contact throughout the drive, and it is as if you are getting to know yourself in reflection to how you continue to see the Mountain. It never hides, and when it does, its shadow would still be looking over at you. It felt like the father of Tanzania, in close contact with its people, its trees, its houses, its ground, its air, its sky, its breeze, its sun, and its clouds. Everyone knew Kilimanjaro, and everyone praised it. Unshakable, unmovable, you move, and it followed you. Overlooking everyone and everything, like a protector, like a witness, like a massive healer to earth. It sure was worth the two-hour drive and again the two-hour drive back.

Journal, My Visit to Arusha

Arusha

Celebrating my thirty-first birthday

December, 27 2015 – Arusha was very chilled place, we stayed in Hotel Arusha which is recommended, it was close by to everything and clean. There is not so much to do in Arusha except to really enjoy the nature, meet beautiful people, check out the Arusha Market, and few other places to eat in.

Journal – My Visit to Dar es Salaam

Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) – December 26th 2015

There was nothing much to do in Dar es Salaam, we stayed for a night in a very cute hotel next to the airport “Trinity Hotel”. It is a good hotel to stay in for a night or two. We only had the evening, so it was dark, we were recommended to go have dinner at Slipway hotel (which was nice). The very following morning, we headed to catch our local flight to Arusha.

Milk my Shake – Tuesday Morning

A table wrapped in white cloth, hiding the antique old wooden wood beneath it that sits there with stains and knick knocks, It is furnished with red wine and green flowers, it is sprayed with jasmine water scent, and Brooklyn flavours, it has been stuffed with white plates and crystal glasses, butter knifes, and fresh-baked bread, the smell of the ovens bakery is so aromatically floating in the air, as each chair has a character of its own, ready to be seated by a man of his own vanities and flares, women in their shawls and tight skirts, life is like a shadow that moves in complete mystery and waste to what not no one knows, and what one thinks knows it all, blueberries and blackberries, mint leaves, and pearls, all enter the side room, as people begin to explain, their heart breaks and their flowers, that have been their mending to their love makings, the Irish, and the Danish, the Arabs, and the Germans, they all are greeted by lemons, and olives, greens and brows, hours of cheap talks, and hours of fake laughter, people continue to move into rooms, where cakes are served in butter, toasted in chocolate, and almond bites, the sugar is too sweet, the tea is too heavy, the party has only started it is three am, Breakfast is being baked, beds are unmend, helpless people toss themselves in jars, fight for a cookie with white pieces, over dark pieces so stained, fresh strawberries over left over cake, tickets to watch the next show have been sold out, and the people are only rushing outside their doors to make it in shapeless forms and fearful faces, they quickly but quietly brush their hairs and plug their eyebrows, they squeeze what is left over from their lip stick onto their lips, they tie their ties up tight into what they think is scheme, their shoe laces are left untied, but the clock is ticking, there is no time to look back, empty chairs, the sun is here, the people are gone, the house is clean, the paintings are hanging, the flowers continue living, and we sit and wait for the next round to… all over again…

From my readings… On Faith

My heart beats, my lungs breathe, my ears hear, my hair grows. And I don’t have to make them work-they just do. Planets revolve around the sun, seeds become flowers, embryos become babies, and with no help from me. Their movement is built into a natural system. I am an integral part of the system, too. I can let my life be directed by the same force that makes flowers grow-or I can do it myself.

To trust in the force that moves the universe is faith. Faith isn’t blind, it’s visionary. Faith is believing that the universe is on my side, and that the universe knows what it’s doing. Faith is a psychological awarness of an unfolding force for good, constantly at work in all directions. My attempt to direct this force only interferes with it. My willingness to relax into it allows it to work on my behalf. Without faith, i’m frantically trying to control what it is not my business to control, and fix what it is not in my power to fix. What I’m trying to control is much better off without me, and what I’m trying to fix can’t be fixed by me anyway. Without faith, I’m wasting time.

On Meditation

To the perfect place to meditate, a minute to look into your heart, a minute to breath and fill in your body with the right type of oxygen, a minute to let go of your stressful thoughts; to loosen up your tight muscles, a minute to withdraw from everything holding onto you and pulling you elsewhere, a minute to cherish heaven that lies here within us and between us, a minute to feel silence & appreciate the serenity that exists amongst all chaos, a minute to hear the sounds of life’s music; the wind blowing to the right side, and the birds that sing right above you, the sound of leaves moving, and the sound of echo’s from faraway. A minute to sit back & be grateful; from every hour that passes, can be a transformation method to take you from wherever you are to your very current present.

Be present today, be open to changes, be open to hear the sound shift, be open to walk it without having to be pushed into it, be open to trust the choices of life to you and not struggle with wanting to control your choices upon life.

To a wonderful day, the first Monday of may, to choosing the present.
