Morning Diary Day 5 – The suburbs of Jordan

Part 1

September 14 2014

In the suburbs of Jordan between Dabouq Amman and Salt

If you ever visit Jordan, you will love the people. Meet the locals and Spend a day in the suburbs of Jordan. This here is the residence of Sukhtian Family, beautiful souls and a beautiful house. My friend Anoud planned a cooking competition that ended up with great chefs making yummy dishes. Walnut salad, pasta with tomato sauce, grilled chicken “BBQ Mashawi style”, Cannelloni, dark chocolate cake pudding and the best of all homemade Nabulsi Knafeh that is to die for. Make sure you ask for the Knafeh if you visit Jordan, Palestine or Lebanon… Just Yummieee… All pictures are taken with my favorite Canon 7D… Oh and my very favorite song of the day Andrew Belle – In my veins.

Find your Art

We all know that what we learn from our travels, can never be learnt anywhere close to our comfort zone “home”. But, traveling also made me realize that what I can learn back home can never be learnt anywhere else around the world.

So I decided to use my skills in organizing events and dedicate my time to put together projects that are both educational & inspirational. Projects that combine talented local artists, with topics that are not fairly explored in this region, and most importantly projects I find Art in.

My first project will be covering Photography. The art, passion, diversity, and possible opportunities this topic can offer.

Project Photography

Will take place in Amman, Jordan on the 14th of June until the 21st of June 2014. This project will cover the basic needs of understanding the use of professional cameras, and a general brief on photography. Then it will cover 4 topics with 4 of the best Jordanian photographers, the project will end with an open exhibition where all the talented photographers and their participants exhibit their best photographs.

Project photography is a seven day workshops covering topics like street portrait, fashion product, dance in motion, food styling in Amman Jordan by the professional photographers

Click here to check out our FB page

In the exhibition, visitors will experience viewing over 10 photos of each topic. This experience will enable our understanding to the present diversity in the way we see things, frame them, understand topics and choose to capture each moment.

Thanks to my main sponsor Canon who supported me to cover my expenses and help make a small project a successful one. & Thanks to Spin FM for sponsoring my radio ads.

I will be posting more. Hoping to see the Art in this project together.

Art in Film – Why I loved the Movie: The Grand Budapest Hotel

Last night I went to watch the Movie “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and I was swept away by the perfection of the scene settings. The Framing of each scene, the details, the colors, I just couldn’t get enough of each scene, of each image,  I experienced a beautiful feeling of belonging, and connecting with the brilliant director behind it. Then as soon as i went home I looked up the director “Wes Anderson” to learn more about his perfection, the beauty of every little detail put together, and i decided to share some of what my eyes have enjoyed here on my blog.

Art in Everything; This is Art.

I then looked up How to make Courtesan au Chocolat just like the Mendl’s:

A scene put to perfection.
