A blog post on Charlie Hebdo #JeSuisCharlie, from a Muslim Woman living in the heart of the MiddleEast #JeSuisMuslim

On Wednesday the 7th of january 2015, I received a WhatsApp message from my friend in Canada asking me if I have heard of what has happened in Paris and that it is all over the news…. Well, I don’t usually follow the news much because I don’t believe in any of it, but I went on twitter and started to read all about #JeSuisCharlie … At first I felt terrified, disturbed, frustrated and sick to my stomach. As I continued to read, questions and thoughts started to come right through me: Is this ever going to stop? “this whole terrifying act of violence in the name of Islam” Where are they trying to go with this? “Who ever is plotting these ridiculous acts of terror to create more racism, violence and hate” Why would anyone kill for any reason what so ever? “We all grow up learning the same basics around the world, killing is not justified” Why would anyone kill in the name of religion, culture and race? “Seriously, why would millions of people be tagged along an act of one or more disturbed human being” Why is it always an international story against Islam as a religion when it is a Muslim behind an act of violence? As if there are no violence, murder and rape stories happening everyday in Europe, the United Stated, China or Russia? by people, gangsters, Mafias or any other…Why would a religious person get something as sacred as God and religion into an act of murder? If you are very religious, you are in a temple, in a mosque, in a church, in a synagogue, God is so sacred to be mixed with blood and violence. Therefore those people who are acting like animals are no way part of any religion in any way possible.Didn’t the world go through enough already? “Enough of hate, racism, segregation, and stereotype?”  Quran on IslamAnd then right before I went to sleep last night, I read this article that truly disturbed me in every way possible. “In the wake of Charlie Hebdo, Free Speech Does Not Mean Freedom From Criticism” by Jacob Canfield. What disturbed me about his article, is how well written it is, how ugly the truth is and I couldn’t agree any better with him. I have never seen the cartoons published by Charlie Hebdo before, I heard about them, but I never really searched for them. And while I looked at them, all I was thinking is why would anyone be so racist? why would anyone be so anti-Islamic? and why would anyone offend any religion so publicly and in such humor? Where is the line of respect? Why is it even legal? I still believe that the act of murder is never to be justified, and I will always be against any type of violence. But why are those cartoons so cool, and why were they okay to be distributed and published? I repeat what Jacob Canfield wrote in his article: “The statement, “JE SUIS CHARLIE” works to erase and ignore the magazine’s history of xenophobia, racism, and homophobia. For us to truly honor the victims of a terrorist attack on free speech, we must not spread hateful racism blithely, and we should not take pride in extreme attacks on oppressed and marginalized peoples.” Speakgood words or remain silent

This is part of the propaganda, It is always a Muslim who is acting like a terrorist, it is always an Arab, and it always turns into a soap opera. We must all fight together “including Muslims” for the rights of all victims, there is terror happening every day in Palestine, Syria, Iraq, and many other cities besides Paris. But for some reason, it is terror and an international story only when the media decides to make it go big. Every victim is a human being, and every human being deserves the freedom to live in peace. This fight should be against the act of violence, against creating racist generations, and against creating more segregation in the world of today. Rumi Kindness

I am an Arab, a woman, a Muslim and a very spiritual person. I meditate everyday, I do yoga every morning, I read at least 2 pages of Quran everyday, I read books for Oscar Wilde, Einstein, Rumi, Robert Green, Paulo Coelho, Jack Canfield and many more. I have Christian friends, Jewish, Atheist, Hindu, Buddhist, and people I have no idea what they practice or believe in. I don’t care, I don’t even ask what they believe in, religion is personal and when it is a topic, it is sometimes an interesting topic to discuss and explore, and if I have noticed any similarities they all call for Peace, Love, Acceptance, Sharing, Life, Kindness, Giving, Charity, Light, Meditating, Praying… And they all forbid the act of Violence in all manners what so ever. Umar

Here is a little bit of something about my peaceful religion Islam for those of you who are anti-Islamic:

And the people who believe in the Most Merciful “referring to God/Allah” are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace. (Quran Verse 25:63)

Say, [O believers], “We have believed in God/Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims believers of God.” (Quran Verse 2:136)

Say, “Do you argue with us about God/Allah while He is our Lord and your Lord? For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. And we are sincere [in deed and intention] to Him.” (Quran Verse 2:139)

Be kind, for whenever kindness becomes part of something, it beautifies it. Whenever it is taken from something, it leaves it tarnished. (Prophet Mohammad PBUH)

The best among you is the one who doesn’t harm others with his words and hands. (Prophet Mohammad PBUH)

Quoted by the Prophet Mohammad PBUH

In a day like today, we need to remind the world, that the discrimination and racism against Islam is only a propaganda like all the past propaganda’s the world have witnessed in history that created discrimination, hate, racism, and broken homes.

Today is the Birth Date of the Prophet Mohammad PBUH in the Hijri year of 12 Rabi’ul Awwal 1436 AH and I believe this day must be celebrated in the simplest ways by sharing love and kindness like the Prophet once shared with the world. Most his quotes are associated to being kind, giving, forgiving, and treating people with love and respect. The stereotype of Islam today is false; for violence, terror, and savages are 3 things that are not welcomed by the Prophet Mohammad PBUH or by Islam as a religion. Islam stands for peace, and peace is what all religions and faiths preach for.

Therefore, today I wish to celebrate with you Love and Kindness in the name of our beloved Prophet.

Who said the Grinch stole Christmas from the MiddleEast ?

January 1st 2015,

Webdeh, Fuheis, Amman, Jordan

Stereotypes are pathetic… Yes the Middle-East is a mess, but the people are as human as everyone else around the world. We are people from different backgrounds, mentalities, beliefs, and profession. The Grinch never steals christmas from the hearts of those who wish to celebrate it, and the Grinch did not steal Christmas or New Year from the Middle-East. At least I am sure about Jordan & Palestine.

Jordan has flourished in celebrating this year, it has been very festive in several locations, and areas, Santa was all over the city, and Christmas Trees were decorated in public main attractions and in-front of houses and neighborhoods. Christmas is not only celebrated by Christians, many Jordanians and Palestinians who practice Islam or other religions also like to celebrate Christmas, write resolutions and wish everyone a happy New Year.

It is a mess almost everywhere around the world, let us work together to create love, we do not need the Politicians or the Media to tell us what to think of one another ,or how to predict the lives of other nations, or judge the differences, we are all human, we share the basics of soul, energy and heart. Religion was never the reason for war, or hate, politics only use it to cover themselves with and effect on the mass, all religions preach for peace love and unity. And I am not saying that from only knowledge, but also as a Muslim who has excessive passion to meeting people from all around the world who practice different lifestyles and beliefs.

Today is the first day of a new year, let 2015 be peaceful upon us, by being part of every celebration and away from any discrimination, let us hold hands and accept one another as souls of the earth, no matter how each one of us might like to interpret the meaning of our existence or the meaning of life, it doesn’t matter, what matters is bringing up the new generation in the name of Love. Have a wonderful and blessed New Year, where ever you are around the world, no matter what you believe in and what you do not believe in, we always deserve second chances, so let us make it a happy 2015.

A piece of advice for a happier Sunday

Positive Living Venice

In tune with your yourself, filling yourself with love, this is when nothing can distract you.

Hypnotic Amalfi Coast drive in Italy

If you are in tune with yourself, if you are so well self-connected and self-contained with pure serenity and happiness, filling yourself with love and admiration, feeling spiritually connected in a rhythm, this is when nothing can distract you or take away your essence of tuning.

The moon just keeps shinning

On a moonlight night what does the moon in the mansion of stars care for the dogs and their barking?

The dog is doing his job; the moon is smoothly fulfilling her task by means of her bright countenance.

Does the dog’s barking ever reach the moon’s ear, especially that moon divinely appointed?

The king drinks wine on the bank of the stream till dawn, and enthralled in the music is unaware of the croaking of frogs.

“I have always believed that when a man gets it in his head to do something and when he exclusively occupies himself in that design, he must succeed”…

“I have always believed that when a man gets it in his head to do something and when he exclusively occupies himself in that design, he must succeed. Whatever the difficulties. That man can become grand vizier or pope or Casanova.” A quote I have picked up few months ago while I was changing paths… And I still feel wowed every time I read it… It’s like magic but it’s not… I mean we really can be the next big thing but it can’t be what we want to be… we can really want to do something for an obvious reason and give it our all till its done and if one thing is a great thing then you will be the next big thing.
When we are cooking, we usually know what we want as a result on our plate, so while we are in the making we know what we are forming and creating… The ingredients are essential here, some can not be altered at the end and some can be somewhat added or replaced… Therefore the ingredients are essential and the person making the meal with passion & love is also another essential… One good meal is not so easy to be done looking, tasting & smelling phenomenal. The cook must be really aware and good at what he is doing to accomplish an unforgettable dish… Therefore how much do you believe in what you are creating, making or forming? How useful will it be? Do you feel the audience before they arrive? If yes then just keep going until you’re the next #Gaudi in your own way…

Coming up on my blog will be lots and lots of beautiful pictures and morning diaries covering the beautiful city of Barcelona.

Fill your thoughts with love and speak them out loud after

Speak light… Speak freedom, speak generously, speak wise, speak beauty, speak truth, speak love; for love is unity, love is an international language, love is everything we seek for and everything we can give at anytime. Love should be the best gift packed in the most beautiful gift wrap, stored in most intimate journal, carved deeply in our hearts to remember. Love yourself, love your family, love your surrounding, love your faith, love your city, love your people, love earth, love the people of earth, love the nature, and fill your heart with kindness. Be present, without our presence, love is simply harder to find. ❤️

Morning Diary Day 12 – Berlin’s Street Art

Tuesday, October 21st 2014

Berlin, Germany

Walk throughout Neukolln neighborhood, visit the open air East Side Gallery with the international street art graffiti, pass by the hackeschen markt and reflect within:

What is life if it wasn’t created for us to sees each other in it. Earth is round for a reason, we each live in the total opposite of one another. We all reflect on each other.. What I see in you I see in me and it is wonderful to experience the warmth of our souls connecting through soil. We are all one united through light thread and spirit. Looking deep into history I resemble repetition in everything only in different uniforms and labels. It is like we live the lives of our ancestors when they lived the lives of our reflectors. Start looking through the eyes of one another as your own reflection, look deep into their souls and realize that in there is the kingdom of treasures. Miracles do happen and wishes come true, but if you don’t put a little effort in there then it is not worth wishing, for nothing is meant to happen effortlessly and nothing requires the whole wide world to change in harmony with your beliefs and thoughts. You alone can set foot, open a new door or fix a broken one. Alone through energies of one another, through the soil that unites our energies, one person can make a difference.

How you can use the power of writing…

Write write write write, if you have the power of letting go by writing then write. Writing can be stress reliving, can be meditative and most importantly can be a way to share with everyone your experience, your thoughts, your peace of mind. Tell those whom you truly love; how much you love them. Express to your self how you feel and tell the world how we are all sharing the same piece of life in just different timings and directions. Writing is the best way to save a memory, to tell someone you love them, and to dig deep in and find out what is really happening within yourself. I am grateful for being capable to write, I am grateful for it’s power, I am grateful for this method. Good morning, good afternoon and good evening to the good in this world and to the bad I pray that a miracle shines right at you to make you good.

Pray a little something for your magical inner self…

There is always magic within… From time to time we can sit, meditate, pray and listen to our inner self speak… How is my “inner self” feeling ? What does my “inner self” has to say. Sit somewhere isolated with the least noise & distraction, close your eyes, say a little prayer and direct your awareness inwards, at this moment do nothing and just listen. Try to isolate your self from your inner self, let your self observe while your inner self express. Stay there as much as you can, try not to judge your inner thoughts or feelings, don’t criticize or look for explanations or reasons… Just let your inner self be. Once your done just rest there, write or let your self express its judgements but don’t get attached to them just learn about your within and without. Most importantly trust that magic happens, that whatever seems to be impossible is only possible when you let go of your old thoughts & beliefs. Just let your self (thoughts & feelings) float across life & let your inner self speak louder for you. Have a beautiful start of the week, a beautiful morning, afternoon & evening. Express your love & learn about the love in everyone else.
