Morning Diary 19 – For the love of Architecture visit Barcelona…

Barcelona, Spain

Today, I decided to take a break, hop on a bus and relax. Learn about the city am spending a week in and look at things from the top. The first thing that astonished me in this beautiful city of Barcelona is its architecture. Gaudi is everywhere, and when he isn’t there, you can see the people who are inspired by him. I’ve always heard about La Sagrada Familia, but I did not expect what I was coming to. Really this piece of art is nothing like the photographs, it is beyond words, beyond reality and beyond art; I was blown away. As for the rest of city, it has reminded me of Beirut’s beautiful streets and architecture in Lebanon. Buildings are very close to one another, and balconies are almost connecting neighbors, you can just easily step out from your own balcony into the one right across from you. The best part about the buildings in Barcelona is the random prints that surround some of them, that create authenticity, and history speaking between walls. While you take a look at my photographs, enjoy one of my favorite folk ambient songs by high highs, open seasons.

Morning Diary 18 – My first day in Barcelona was a run to the beach area for son sun lovin’…

Barcelona – Spain

After few weeks of chilly weather between Germany and Switzerland, arriving in Barcelona felt like breathing again. Not that I wasn’t breathing back in Switzerland, but even when you’re a little cold, you hardly take a deep breath in that draws a natural smile all the way from your heart to your face. There is a little extra something about a weather that calls upon you for a quick suntan, and that is exactly what I did on my first day in Barcelona, walked between the authentic streets of Sant Antoni down the Rambla towards the beautiful Port Olimpic and Barceloneta.

Take a look at some of my photos while you listen to one of the best sons I stumbled upon in Barcelona for Gabriella Ferri, Remedios.

Morning Diary 17 – 24 hours in Zurich Switzerland – Part 2

Zürich – Switzerland

After spending 12 hours in Zürich, I was lucky enough to have yet another 12 hours day time in this stunning city and I decided to just walk all over Zrich by foot from one area to another. It is quiet small and easy to move around, a bicycle would be faster and more fun, but if you wish to just stop when you want, take a photograph or just stare while you get inspired by all the little details and breathtaking architecture, then do it by foot. Zürich is one beautiful gothic medieval city that is just full of yet more surprises coming out from every corner… An art piece, a city full of art, a trip to remember and to repeat. Love Switzerland.

Morning Diary 15 – Solothurn… A fairy town, baroque medieval village in Switzerland

Saturday, November 8th 2014

Solothurn, Switzerland

Where do I start from; for the love of architecture ? this town is breathtaking. It is all about the details, about the little pretty things, it is colorful, full of authentic colors, and beautiful people walking around, you would sense they should be in some sort of a costume, but they are not. The tiny shops, the bicycles, the flowers, the windows, the doors, the river… I kept wondering how do the people live here? It is such a small city, but it brings happenings into your heart, unless it is because I haven’t explored the outside of the center. Anyway, if you ever visit Switzerland, try your best not to miss visiting this unforgettable city that is just about 2hours away from Zürich by train.

Morning Diary Day 9 – Shmisani; and what used to be the happening area in Amman

Shmisani – Amman – Jordan

A trip back into my childhood, when I used to go to the park run in circles and run to play games. Childhood memories are so innocent, pure and beautiful. They take you into the memory lane of nothingness, when life was all about wide open eyes of wonder, and laughter to anything that looks like fun. Around 20 years ago, Shmisani was the place to be. Today Shmisani’s atmosphere of full of life no longer exists, people live there but drive their cars to different areas to have coffee or chill… Memories always remain.

Here is one of my very favorite songs: Paper Aeroplane by Angus & Julia Stone

Morning Diary Day 8 – Jabal Amman; you are breathtaking

Amman – Jabal Amman – Part 2

From last Thursday’s diary I continue with this beautiful morning, stumbled upon beautiful places, and beautiful people. There is nothing more beautiful than art. Emphasizing on the natural beauty that exists, or beautifying your surroundings. Earth colors are welcoming, they are refreshing and warm. Our authenticity is our beauty and our weapon. Don’t let it fade, and don’t destroy it, instead be aware and proud of it. Here are my findings from Jabal Amman, beauty and art in everything I encounter. All my pictures are taken with my Canon 70D.

I have stumbled upon this awesome song that I would like to share with you; alec troniq, mind doodle.

Morning Diary Day 6 – Deir Ghbar Abdoun Amman Jordan

Amman – Deir Ghbar – Abdoun

There is something about sequence that just attract me, the way the trees look, or windows, houses and even the tiles. I just find something so inspiring about them, as well as color combinations that most probably happen coincidentally. I also think the sky looks phenomenal when it is cloudy, truly walking around your city is a different experience.

In Jordan, we are mostly in our cars driving around. I suggest we all try to get out there by foot, you can meet new people, breathe fresh air, and enjoy the little details around the houses and gardens. Today, I had my earphones and chose one of my favorite playlists on 8tracks. I truly lived a fairytale walking over earth, listening to great music, and taking pictures with my Canon EOS 70D of just anything that attract me.

Morning Diary Day 4

Amman – Rainbow Street – Jabal Amman

Thanks to my Canon 7D i am not editing any of my pictures 🙂 This time I went walking in one of the most urban areas in Amman. There is character in Jabal Amman, and there is way much more to see but this is just a glimpse to Amman’s favorite “Rainbow Street and its artful finds”… Again another experience with another song by The Strokes “You Live Once”

Amman – Dabouq

This time it is the modern side of Amman, the Dabouq area where all the richness is in the beautiful modern architecture and layout. Fresh air, wide streets, beautiful houses, and peaceful time. Here is another song from a local Jordanian punk rock band “Akher Zapheer”
