13 things to do in the Amalfi Coast – Italy

Amalfi Coast.

What is there not to say about the Amalfi Coast? It is not to be missed. I can not wait for the day I visit again, and…. stay. When I plan on buying property, Positano which is located among the coast will be one of the options. Every single moment spent at the Amalfi Coast, between Napoli, Capri, Positano, and Sorrento was literally breath-taking.

My visit was unfortunately very short, therefore I couldn’t really discover much but I can sum up what is highly recommended if it was a short or a long visit:

Amalfi Coast is a drive that can start from Naples down to Pompei, C.mare di Stabia, Vico Equense, Meta, Piano di Sorrento, Sant’Angello, Sorrento, Massa Lubrense, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, and Salerno.

Here are 13 things to do in the Amalfi Coast:

1- Drive around the Amalfi coast it is hypnotic.

2- If you have the time, spend at least one day roaming around each city.

3- While driving, just take spontaneous side stops and live the moment.

4- Your camera is an essential.

5- Visit Capri, which is an island located about one hour by ferry from Sorrento.

9 things to do when in Solothurn

Click here to read full post on Solothurn.

One of the most beautiful cities, I have ever visited.

Solothurn is a small city located along the Aare river and is known as the finest baroque town in Switzerland. Now all I wanted after visiting Solothurn, is to go back in time and history… Or, move to Solothurn and start my life all over again…

1. Wander around, and enjoy the art and details of the architecture.

2. Explore the Baroque and the Medieval and count windows.

3. Visit the St. Ursus Cathedral, which was first built-in the middle ages, renovated several times and looks like this today.

4. Search for the 11 fountains and learn about meaning behind the number 11.

5. Explore the Clock Tower, built-in 1467 with an added astronomic clock-works in 1545.

6. Visit Seit 1830 or what is also known as Kerzen Kolonialwaen Jeger shop for an unforgettable experience of shopping.

7. Then have a quick bite at the most delicious Middle Eastern restaurant Pittaria that serves food from falafel, hummus, shwerma and more. Palestinian owner, cozy atmosphere and surely worth the visit.

8. Then it is time for dessert, and when in Switzerland, what is better than good chocolates for dessert. Visit Confiserie Hofer and Oetterli Kafee.

9. If you have the time, then I think this city was made for bicycles. It is spacious, no traffic, safe, and just utterly beautiful.

Frankfurt in less than Twenty Four Hours…

Frankfurt.

Less than Twenty Four Hours in Frankfurt

Everyone was telling me not to go to Frankfurt, saying things like, “there is nothing much to see or do”. I must confirm my disagreement. I didn’t spend much time in Frankfurt, but I was able to tell that there is so much to see and explore. It is not at all as empty and lifeless as everyone claims. Maybe in comparison with Berlin, but you can never compare 2 cities, they are just 2 different cities. Berlin’s city life is bigger and wilder, but I found Frankfurt to have more character and stillness.

I recommend you walk in this beautiful city. It is so spacious it gives a different taste to breathing. The streets are super clean and super wide, the people are friendly and the city is busy. Things are very basic and easy to get a hold of. I suggest you buy a map, mark some streets, rent a bicycle and just enjoy the city. If you have time, then I would defiantly recommend you explore smaller streets and exquisite shops, I am certain that you will stumble upon some gems.

Visit the Romerberg plaza and look for the Romer medieval buildings located in the left bank of the Rhine river. Romer is the nameRomer is the name of the family that owned the buildings and sold them to the city council in 1405. This is when it was converted… read more

The historic ancient attraction in Jordan of the Mukawir Fortress Black and white

Mukawir is a historic attraction in Jordan that is about one hour and a half drive from Amman, around 30 to 40 minutes from Madaba.

I advice you wear something comfortable and somewhat conservative, comfortable sports shoes, and go by car or taxi. It is around 20 minutes walk up the hill or around 35 minutes if you are taking photographs on the way.

The historic ancient attraction in Jordan of the Mukawir Fortress

Mukawir Fortress was built by Alexander Jannaeus in the first century BC and is a religion biblical story of Salome the dancer who danced to Hadrian to get John the Baptist “Prophey Yahya bin Zakaria” beheaded. It was said the John the Baptist was imprisoned for 2 years and then beheaded. In 70 AD, the fortress was destroyed by the Romans while under the emperor of Titus.

There is not much to see, but it sure is worth the visit, the colors of nature, and the fresh air is just sensational, the walk up is very easy and takes very little time, it is not so busy and not visited much so usually serene and calm.

My favorite part of Mukawir is the view that over looks the Dead Sea and Palestine, it is breathtaking when the sky is clear, and I would defiantly advice you go right before sunset because the view is just magical and worth staying for.

Why you should consider visiting AlSalt “السلط” ? An ancient town located in Jordan.

It truly is incredible, to feel the history speak to you through the architecture of the city. I read somewhere online that Al Salt City was built by Alexander the Great and was known as Saltus in Byzantine. I am not very familiar with the history of Al Salt, but while I was wandering around the city, I was able to learn some, and therefore, I plan to visit again, learn more and find all the historic attractions that I still haven’t located. But here, I will share with you how you can spend an awesome day enjoying what is beautiful and authentic. Read more and find more photos of what to do in Al Salt.

Planning your honeymoon destination while it rains and pours outside your window? Here is my recommended destination

There is nothing better than an escape somewhere far away from home, somewhere far away from familiarity, a different language, new faces, a different feel to the ground, different dishes… a new place on Earth.

We think we are familiar with this world, until we step foot into new locations where we witness incredible amount of enjoyment just by the feeling of there is enough for all of us, and there is more to what we think there is, and no it is never greener on the other side, it just is different. Here are some photos of one of my favorite destinations, a destination I recommend for romance, for family reunion, for fun with friends, or even for self discovery. The Amalfi Coast south of Italy is a must visit, an incredible coast which consists of several small cities one after the other, a great drive, beautiful souls, and the most breathtaking nature view you can ever encounter. Morning Diary 22 – I can’t think of a better day… Spend your day between the beaches and the mountains of Barcelona.

Barcelona, Spain

Another irresistible sunny day, where me and my bubbly cousin decided to take the day off and bike to the Bogatell beach area for a quick tan before we head towards Montjuic for a sunset view only to realize that the sun sets from the other mountain side which is where the Tibidabo is. Nonetheless, Montjuic is worth a full day for it is one incredibly huge park that is just filled with magical nature, and for the love of nature, you do need a little nature self time every once in a while. I also probably haven’t mentioned this before in my posts, but my best advice for all those who are planning to visit Barcelona is to rent a bicycle as soon as you arrive. Getting around is very easy and it becomes so much easier and much more fun by bicycle.

A great folk song for you today by The deep dark woods, All the money I had is gone.

Barcelona – Spain

After few weeks of chilly weather between Germany and Switzerland, arriving in Barcelona felt like breathing again. Not that I wasn’t breathing back in Switzerland, but even when you’re a little cold, you hardly take a deep breath in that draws a natural smile all the way from your heart to your face. There is a little extra something about a weather that calls upon you for a quick suntan, and that is exactly what I did on my first day in Barcelona, walked between the authentic streets of Sant Antoni down the Rambla towards the beautiful Port Olimpic and Barceloneta.

Take a look at some of my photos while you listen to one of the best sons I stumbled upon in Barcelona for Gabriella Ferri, Remedios.

Morning Diary 17 – 24 hours in Zurich Switzerland – Part 2

Zürich – Switzerland

After spending 12 hours in Zürich, I was lucky enough to have yet another 12 hours day time in this stunning city and I decided to just walk all over Zrich by foot from one area to another. It is quiet small and easy to move around, a bicycle would be faster and more fun, but if you wish to just stop when you want, take a photograph or just stare while you get inspired by all the little details and breathtaking architecture, then do it by foot. Zürich is one beautiful gothic medieval city that is just full of yet more surprises coming out from every corner… An art piece, a city full of art, a trip to remember and to repeat. Love Switzerland.
